She's wanting to go in the Army like me but she had unprotected sex Sunday night. She got her period on Tuesday and as of last night still had it (no idea about today since I haven't talked to her yet). She took the Plan B pill Tuesday afternoon and says she usually has a pretty regular cycle as far as she knows. I've been telling her that I think that means she's most likely not pregnant (or won't get pregnant if the sperms still in there or whatever) but am I just giving her false hope? What's the likelihood that she could still get pregnant if she did the Plan B and apparently had sex just before getting her period and has her period like normal just a few days later? I know I've heard of women who do get pregnant like that and it depends on each individual woman but what's the overall likelihood? I just feel bad for her because the Army is such a huge dream of hers and I wish I could help her.
- A: usually if you get pregnant just before having your period your period would probably be unusually light, this has happened to me. however if her period was as it normally is and the plan b pill is the same as what we call in the uk the morning after pill then i'm sure she should not be pregnant. good luck to her.xx

I personally understand that a woman is most fertile during the 5 days preceding ovulation and that Girls Under the Settle method are more likely to be born 6-7 days before ovulation and that boys 2-3 days before, during and at postovulation.And that the end of ovulation means the start of the menstrual cycle or periods. I.e., that when the ovum is not fertilised after spending 24 hrs in the Fellopian Tube and is degraded and discharged that this is the tell tale sign of the start of monthly periods.So from what I have read am I right to say that if I have intercourse with my wife2-3 days before her periods means the same things as me saying having intercourse 2-3 days before ovulation especially post ovulation.2. Here is an example -If my last period started on July 4th my estimated ovulation date would be July 25th.. if the egg isn't fertilized, I wouldn't start my period for another 2 weeks. (Ovulation occurs in the middle of a cycle. Average cycles last 28 days. But can last many more days than that.Once the egg is released, it has 24 hours to get fertilized. Male sperm can live for at least 3 days. So say if I wanted to get pregnant, I should have sex around the 25th.
