Is it OK to drink protein after you throw up
Only if you think your stomach can handle it. Also, it depends why you threw up in the first place. If you have a stomach flu, I would suggest against it. ChaCha for now! ( Source: http://www.chacha.com/question/is-it-ok-to-drink-protein-after-you-throw-up )

- Stomach sickness? Not getting hungry anymore. What to do?
- Q: Ok so I had stomach sickness where I was throwing up for 2 days in bed sick. Ever since then about 2 weeks ago I do not get hungry anymore. I notice this when I woke up in the morning after those 2 days and feeling a bit better but I was not hungry. This is weird because I look forward to breakfast in the morning and am usually hungry always. Even if I just ate 20 minutes later Im hungry again. Since I was sick I thought maybe if I eat I might feel sick again so I didn't. I felt full. It was wierd. I eat nothing and feel full. At lunch I wasn't hungry again. I usually eat a kind of spicyt tuna sandwich with 8 grain bread which is my favorite for lunch. I took a bite then went to the trash and spit it out. Then I threw my sandwich away because my stomach felt really full. When I came home after basketball training when I would usually be hungry like crazy for some spaghetti and meat sauce or some chicken and fried rice with milk and sweet potato I still wasn't hungry. I just ate some oatmeal for nothing even though I wasn't hungry. It feels kind of nice not getting hungry but also wierd. The next 2 days I ate nothing because I was trying to see if I would get hungry or not. I felt the same. Not hungry at all. The only thing I would get is thirsty. After another 2 days of this I notice my hands and feet start to ache ang get a little swollen. Maybe just from training. I also noticed that my muscles are growing larger. I read somewhere that if you go without eating your body starts to break down your muscle so why were mine getting larger? In fear of this I decided to remind myself to eat and force it down. Still I eat extremely small meals and maybe half of it because I just don't feel like eating and I dont like the feeling of eating when not hungry or I just eat nothing. The only reason I even eat anymore is fear of loss of energy or muscle. I even started to drink milk again a little and am thinking about buying protein powder. Im turning 17 in about a month in this just a phase or should I got to a doctor?
- A: You might want to go to the doctor if its been this long to see if your sick or not. I hope everything turns out ok and you feel better and healthier soon!!
- Side Effect To Working out?
- Q: ok, here is my problem. after i workout i am just kind of tired, i take my protein shake and drink some water and rest but i often feel light headed and nausous. for the first time since i started working out (i am 22 - working out hard for 3 years) i actually threw up. i am seeing a doc this week but was wondering if anyone had any idea until i see the doc what this could be. i used to battle high blood pressure - over the past few years, due to a hard workout routine i have lowered my blood pressure to 97/72. does this sound like low blood pressure? or maybe low sugar levels? maybe dehydration? i drink a lot of water - it is actually all i drink, but maybe still not enough on workout days, i dont know, or could it even be a lack of sleep? i mean i get 6 or 7 solid hours - but i dont know. if you have any idea, whether you had a similiar problem or are a personal trainer or a nurse or doc and have any info of what it could be or whatever i would appreciate it. thanks in advance!
- A: It could be a lot.Do you do a warm up and drink water through the exersise? I know those two things were harming me.Your body neds to warm up even if it's just jumping jacks and a jog.Good luck ho[pe this helps.

- A: maybe low blood sugar (have a similar issue), and mild dehydration.. Remember, hydrating is not just drinking water.. you also have to take in electrolytes (which water does not contain)...
