- Is Penn considered a good school in the areas of communications??

- All SAS students officially enter without a major. Penn does not hold any SAS student to their prospective major from the application and you can change at any time. It might affect who your premajor advisor is, but that is the least of you...

- A: I would stay away from the if you could change one thing questions. If someone really loves you, they wouldn't change anything. I think good communication involves talking about things in general, not necessarily direct questions. Just learn to notice when things don't seem right and talk, don't interrogate.

- Is talking, whispering or any other form of communication considered an onomatopoeia?
- Q: I'm kind of having a hard time understanding this figurative language. So, possible, can anyone help?
- A: No, onomatopoeia are words that are supposed to represent the actual sounds that someone or something makes. When a cat meows, it makes a sound that sounds something like Meeeeoooowww, so the word meow is an example of onomatopoeia. The same for purr, the sound a cat makes when it is supposedly content. The sound of a bee is something like bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz so buzz is an onomatopoeia. The same with hiss for a snake and wooof, woof for a dog. and ribbit for a frog. onomatopoeia can be sounds for objects too like whir for something turning like a blade or kaboom for an explosion. The list can go on and on but I hope you have the point now.
