- A: He just has to remember that he should be proud of who he is no matter what. Maybe suggest going to a movie alone, sometimes, that helps my self esteem A LOT :)
- What are the ways to boost self esteem?
- Q: I need to buit up my self .so, help me with ur nice ideas for self esteem / self confidence. thx
- A: First of all start doing things you enjoy doing. There's always something we enjoy...so if you haven't figured out what it is, then start trying new things. After a while of doing it you'll start getting better at it and at the same time you'll be enjoying it soo that'll make you feel better because people will also realize that you are very good at that particular thing (you will see their reactions ;)...of course you'll find people who will act like they see nothing... BUT that is the group of people who will do the best job for your self steem boost because most of the time it's just jealousy...yes jealousy exists everywhere and many times where you least expect it ;) Many People don't want to see others happy and successful so they will do anything to change that...they want no one but THEMSELVES to be the center of attention... remember that one !!! Im giving you this advise because i used to feel like you right now and I started going to the gym one day ...i just went by a gym and out of nowhere signed up for it, nobody ever told me, noone went with me, i had never thought of it. Ever since then I have realized that i lovee the gym and i do aerobics class and thankfully have gotten very good at it. Now so many people talk to me at the gym and everyone says hi...I can FEEL what they are thinking..and some have already told me I should try to become a trainer. That, no matter how hard it is to believe, has affected me in all aspects of my life. I feel a lot better about myself, besides the stamina I get from exercise, knowing that im doing good at the gym gives me desire to wake up the next morning and go to work and go to school...and do good at those as well...Right now I feel so good Im so thankful for my life as well...so I hope this message helps you somehow the way it has helped me... Good Luck!!!
- What are ways to help boost self esteem?
- Q: I have a friend who has no self esteem and I would like to help her find ways to boost her self esteem. I have taken her in for a Pedicure and manicure and new hairstyle and it helped but need some other ideas.
- A: Well looking great is one of the best remedies for low self confidence, and giving her a mani-pedi and a new haircut is a promising step. Exercising also releases endorphins which will help her feel great about herself, and her body will be fab after a while too. Also, eating right and drinking lots of water is actually scientifically proven to help boost mood and confidence. Flirting is also a great esteem-booster, and it helps you feel sexy and wanted, so perhaps introduce her to some single male friends that are NOT renowned players (NB!!)?? My friend also had really low self esteem, and she started doing some volunteer work at a retirement home and she found that giving to others was a great way to help her feel good about herself. Constantly remind her of her great qualities and get her to repeat this to herself (stupid, but it works). Eventually her brain will believe this! Also get her to lots of activities that she is good at - if she's a great swimmer, take her swimming, because this will help her feel good. Or even take her to a yoga class, to help induce relaxation!! The last thing I can think of is to get her to stop procrastinating and to do something she's been putting off. Whether it's cleaning the house or cooking a healthy meal, deciding on something and following it through will be great for her self-esteem.Hope that helpsxx
