- A: My doctor told me when the contractions are consistently 5 to 10 minutes apart, go to the hospital. - Q: I just was wondering how far apart and how often contractions should be before going to the hospital?????
- A: Most of the time they say five minutes. Call your dr./midwife and ask for there advice. If you are having contractions you can go in and worse they will do is send you home. If you have group B streap though go right away. I'm not 100% sure as my water broke and I went i about three hours afterwards (I wanted to stay home as long as possible). Best of luck to you!

- Q: how many mins apart should they be before i call or go? am i waiting till my water breaks? i want an epidural so i want to get there in time. when do i say ok lets go now?? help me!
- A: I usually wait until they're 4 min apart. just make sure you're consistent with timing them and if you're not in much pain, can still laugh, talk, sleep through them it's not time yet. It's frustrating to be sent home from the hospital but if you're really worried about it go ahead and go in, just be prepared to be sent back home. Good luck
