A: Valium, which is a benzodiazepine, can be picked up in urine, blood and hair tests. Since you aren't taking it regularly at this point, a urine test would be positive up to 72 hours (3 days) later if you took it today, and could be picked up in your hair up to 90 days (3 months!) after taking it.If you plan on taking the medicine for anxiety or another medical condition, you can let your tester know this ahead of time and it shouldn't be an issue.
