- A: There's a time and place for everything, and the same goes for bras. bras are mainly used for support and if you don't want your nipples to stab through your shirt, even if you're not busty, your nipples will smoosh down with the bra..... as far as why its mandatory it's mainly for the professionalism in the workplace and at school. it keeps from guys gawking at your nipples so much... Personally I have big boobs and it's kinda uncomforable either way with or without unless i have a great support bra, but i'm compromising the cuteness of it all. the negative side for me personally is underwires because they are uncomfortable, and they end up getting loose and stabbing me in the breast... sorry t.m. i. also wearing a bra prevents having saggy breasts, and we know those aren't so attractive. some have them naturally, and some dont. but a bra will help keep them "up" to a certain extent without going under the knife.. and especially if you are expecting, there's no getting around wearing a bra.... but it's all in the setting... work, school, club. and what you're wearing that doesn't or does require a bra.
